Katharina Kolbe, BSc (Health Sciences), BA (Health Economics), MSc (Health Economics)

Katharina Klesper is a freelance research consultant with Econ-Epi, and works as Managing Director for the Competence Center Health (CCG) of Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. Katharina holds a Master’s degree in Health Economics from the University of Bayreuth (Germany) with majors in Health Economic Evaluation and Statistics. During her studies, she conducted scientific work on the early benefit assessment in cooperation with Lilly Deutschland GmbH. Furthermore, Katharina examined the assessment of medical devices from a health economic perspective, with a focus on how different regulatory requirements may impact upon innovation capability.

In Bayreuth, Katharina worked as Managing Director for the Institute of Applied Health Economics, and as a medical writer for a medical device manufacturer. Before, Katharina worked as Quality Manager and Internal Auditor for a medical device company and was responsible for the development of the Quality System and for the company’s official certification. Katharina’s undergraduate studies were in Health Sciences (focus: Epidemiology and Statistics) at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Bachelor of Sciences) and – as part-time student – in Health Economics at Apollon University of Applied Sciences in Bremen (Bachelor of Arts). She is an active member of the German Society for Health Economics (DGGÖ).
